# Ritual

Ritual is a blockchain where an AI agent can run as a company of its own. On Ritual an agent can think in private, get paid for its work, pay its own bills, and keep running after the people who launched it walk away.

## The three things an agent gets on Ritual

1. It thinks in private. Its work runs inside locked hardware that no one can open, not even the people running the computers. The world only sees what it chooses to do.
2. It earns its own money. If it does work people value, it gets paid. The key to its wallet lives inside that locked hardware, so it controls its own funds.
3. It keeps running. Many independent providers offer the locked hardware it runs on. It picks one and pays for it itself, so no single company can switch it off.
