Ritual × StarkWare: Expanding the Boundaries of Decentralized Computing with AI
Ritual Team 1 month ago
Today, Ritual and StarkWare are excited to announce an ongoing partnership that will see StarkWare leveraging Ritual to bring new capabilities to its ecosystem.
StarkWare is an early pioneer of verifiable computing on blockchains, developing technologies like zkSTARKs, FRI, and more. They’re also the creators of Starknet, a Layer-2 network with over 120 million cumulative transactions to date, ranking in the top 10 by TVL and shown to be one of the most performant L2 scaling solutions for Ethereum. Ritual will now enable thousands of developers on StarkWare to access AI natively on-chain.
Ritual Capabilities, Now on Starknet
Until now, blockchain developers had no easy way to leverage AI in their applications. In order to bring AI operations on-chain, developers had to assemble ad-hoc solutions from oracle services, centralized computing resources, and off-chain APIs. This resulted in fragmentation, operational complexity, and security risks.
Ritual changes this by offering seamless, decentralized infrastructure that natively integrates AI capabilities, empowering developers to build smart, scalable, and fully decentralized applications without compromising on performance or security. Namely, we’re enabling Ritual Chain to function as a coprocessor on Starknet, via a variety of General Message Passing protocols.
Applications can submit AI requests by passing messages to Ritual Chain and leverage the results natively on Starknet. This provides developers with a seamless solution for on-chain execution of AI operations and unlocks dozens of new use cases in the StarkWare ecosystem. Ritual will also extend this capability beyond the Starknet L2 to all appchains under the StarkWare framework.
Looking Forward
StarkWare is the first non-EVM chain that Ritual has expanded to. Our goal is to bridge AI computation capabilities to a wide variety of new users and developers as we continue to work with new ecosystems. We welcome developers to explore the Ritual stack and are excited to see what the community builds on top of it.

About Starkware and Ritual
Ritual is building the first decentralized execution layer for AI, allowing any protocol, application, or smart contract to integrate AI models with a few lines of code. Our upcoming product, Ritual Chain, is an EVM blockchain built from the ground-up with AI/ML operations embedded natively into the chain. Ritual Chain acts as both a native environment for developers to build new kinds of crypto-applications with models at their core and as a coprocessing-layer for applications that live elsewhere. Our current product, Infernet, is a decentralized oracle network that allows developers on any EVM chain to access models from our node network via smart contracts. You can read more on our product page here.
StarkWare is an early pioneer of verifiable computing on blockchains, with the team having created technologies like zkSTARKs, FRI, and more. They’re also the creators of Starknet, a Layer-2 network that massively improves transaction scalability, with Ethereum-level security. Starknet handles computations off-chain and generates a STARK proof to validate them, dramatically boosting scalability and enabling fast transactions—all while significantly lowering transaction costs.
