Today, Ritual is excited to announce that we are bringing AI capabilities to the Arbitrum ecosystem.
Arbitrum is a suite of products focused on scaling and extending Ethereum. Arbitrum One, one of the first optimistic rollups on Ethereum, has garnered over $2.4 billion in TVL since its launch in 2021. Arbitrum has also extended its reach with Orbit, a framework that lets developers create their own L2 and L3 chains, with over 50 chains already being developed. Through Ritual, developers on Arbitrum can power intelligent applications by accessing AI models directly on-chain.
The Arbitrum Stack, Supercharged by Ritual
Blockchain developers today face significant barriers when integrating AI. Existing oracle solutions and AI setups often fail to meet the needs of on-chain AI tasks, creating gaps in both efficiency and reliability. Not only do these setups fall short of the technical requirements for robust on-chain AI, but they also add layers of operational complexity and centralization risks.
Ritual solves this problem by offering fully decentralized, holistic infrastructure that enables on-chain AI operations, eliminating these hurdles and allowing developers to access AI models directly that are enshrined on-chain.
Through this partnership, the Ritual Chain will serve as a coprocessor on all Arbitrum-adjacent chains. Applications in the Arbitrum ecosystem can access AI models directly by calling out to the Ritual Chain via a variety of General Message Passing providers.
Given Arbitrum’s vibrant DeFi ecosystem, this integration can be particularly valuable for projects seeking to boost protocol performance and accelergovernanceate governance velocity. Some early concepts we’re already exploring include ML-enabled lending pools, dynamic fee AMM, and more.
Looking Forward
Together, Ritual and Arbitrum are paving the way for a new wave of “smarter” decentralized applications. Stay tuned for further updates as the integration comes to fruition. We’re excited to see what the community builds!

About Arbitrum and Ritual
Ritual is building the first decentralized execution layer for AI, allowing any protocol, application, or smart contract to integrate AI models with a few lines of code. Our upcoming product, Ritual Chain, is an EVM blockchain built from the ground-up with AI/ML operations embedded natively into the chain. Ritual Chain acts as both a native environment for developers to build new kinds of crypto-applications with models at their core and as a coprocessing-layer for applications that live elsewhere. Our current product, Infernet, is a decentralized oracle network that allows developers on any EVM chain to access models from our node network via smart contracts. You can read more on our product page here.
Arbitrum is a technology suite designed to scale Ethereum. Its flagship product — Arbitrum One — is an Optimistic rollup protocol that inherits Ethereum-level security. Arbitrum One also recently updated to the Nitro stack, allowing Arbitrum’s L2 state machine (aka ArbOS) to use WebAssembly (Wasm) underneath. ArbOS is implemented in Go and included within Geth itself. This has many exciting implications including more efficient and native execution, stronger EVM compatibility, and more. Arbitrum Orbit is a new product offering that lets anyone create their own Arbitrum Rollups. Orbit Chains can be a Layer 2 (L2) chain which settles directly to Ethereum, or a Layer 3 (L3) chain which can settle to any Ethereum L2, such as Arbitrum One.
